BT leased line costs can be expensive, especially when compared to the alternative solutions available.

Managed Communications have designed a leased line alternative that offers more speed and lower operating costs.

In addition our technology architecture now means that a fully meshed high bandwidth network are now a reality for most businesses.

No longer is it a requirement to have a BT leased line to run latency dependant applications such as Voice over IP or Citrix.

Managed Communications use a combination of MPLS core and advanced high performance networking to enable businesses to run data networks with high levels of reliability and control at a more affordable cost than a BT leased line.

Alternatives to a BT leased line

Managed Communications has developed a viable BT leased line alternative, available in most of the UK. Often a lower cost option with unparalleled support, it's an investment well worth considering if your business relies on a high-speed internet connection.

A Managed Comms leased line often costs up to 50 per cent less in annual rental. The installation charge is also low, and once a Managed Comms leased line is up and running it is supported by a 100 per cent Service Level Agreement. Speeds vary, with prices reflecting this – unlike some leased line providers, who charge based on the distance between connected points.

What is a leased line?

A leased line may bring you a higher speed business broadband connection, but it's important to understand how it does this. When you lease a line from Managed Comms, we provide a data line between two or more points or locations; for example, between two offices, or between an office and the internet. This is like a telephone line that is permanently connected, and in return for the fee, we ensure this line is uncontended and reserved solely for the communication of your business.

Since the 1970s, leased lines have been used by forward-thinking businesses who need a dedicated data transfer line between their offices. When the internet took off, it started being used to connect a site to the web. By now, it's an office mainstay, although leased line alternatives such as Bonded ADSL or SDSL are gaining in popularity too.
