» Forget exaggerated speeds, Managed Comms gives ADSL bonding throughputs
Saturday, June 12 2010Ofcom report finds broadband speeds are often theoretical
A new study from communications regulator Ofcom has revealed that 43 per cent of UK customers are given incorrect broadband speeds by their internet service provider. The news comes as Managed Comms revealed that its bonded ADSL speeds can consistently reach rapid download rates of up to 32Mbps.
Over at Ofcom, researchers looking into the promised and actual data transfer rates offered by a range of ISPs found that nearly half of prospective customers were told the theoretical download and upload speeds their connection was capable of. However, subscribers subsequently discovered that they were often unable to receive the connection rates they had been promised.
By contrast, a bonded ADSL from Managed Comms is based on actual speeds. The connection, which can give download rates of up to 32Mbps, is measured via throughput rather than theoretical maximums and this can only be a good thing for the customer. What's more, Managed Comms offers a 99.9 per cent service level agreement, further underlining the reliability of our bonded ADSL range.
A growing number of businesses are turning to bonded ADSL as a way to ensure a consistent connection. The service operates a fully uncontended network, ensuring that speeds do not get disrupted over peak times. This 1:1 ratio guarantees a reliable upload and download rate.
Contact Managed Comms today to find out what a bonded ADSL line could offer your business. One of our trained representatives will be able to explain the advantages of the service, as well as providing a provisional quote for the connection.
