» Bonded ADSL speeds guaranteed by Managed Comms
Friday, May 14 2010Ofcom reveals bonded ADSL rates
It may not be a problem for Managed Comms bonded ADSL customers, but it appears that many consumers are being given incorrect speed predictions when they come to choose a broadband package. A report from Ofcom, the independent regulatory body set up by the UK government, has found that many leading providers are giving the wrong information to prospective customers.
Ofcom tests, which used mystery shoppers to investigate sales processes in the UK, found that 74 per cent of broadband subscribers were not told their download and upload speeds would fail to meet the advertised rates. A further 42 per cent of respondents had to prompt providers for their actual speeds during the subscription process.
The report highlighted an overdependence on giving out theoretical maximums by many broadband companies. However, because Managed Comms provides actual download and upload throughputs, advertised speeds for its bonded ADSL services are considerably more accurate.
What's more, a bonded ADSL connection from Managed Comms is guaranteed at 99.9 per cent SLA. The service, which uses state-of-the-art infrastructure, is favoured by lots of businesses looking for a dependable broadband connection. And Managed Comms also offers a fully uncontended 1:1 ADSL network that ensures optimum performance even at peak times.
