Bonding ADSL has been used to increase the upload and download of ADSL and SDSL for several years.

Bonding ADSL and SDSL took a setback though when BT decided to desupport a routing protocal in its network as part of the 21st Centuary Network upgrade, this protocol was called MLPPP or multi-link PPP.

Many business ISPs including Nildram, Pipex and Mistral decided not to continue to offer services for bonding ADSL.
