Countless rural businesses have benefited from leased lines

Managed Comms understands the value of superfast broadband

As a major UK provider of leased lines, Managed Comms has long understood the importance of introducing out-of-the-way businesses to the merits of superfast broadband.

We have been helping rural companies boost their broadband speeds through our leased lines for the past five years.

Well, now it appears that others are waking up to the importance of broadening access to products like Managed Comms' leased lines.

The Final Third First Campaign (FTFC) is an all-new lobby group, launched with the sole intention of convincing the UK government to provide adequate and effective broadband for what it has dubbed the 'Final Third'.

This is the part of the population that cannot receive top-end performance.

However, what they perhaps don't realise is that Managed Comms' leased lines can increase speeds regardless of location.

Our leased lines are perfect for companies looking to boost their online capabilities.

With low installation charges, state-of-the-art gigabit networks and high reliability underpinned by a 99.9 per cent service level agreement, perhaps we should not be surprised that Managed Comms is such a popular choice for business.

Returning to the FTFC, it is being backed by a broad cross-section of the population from social campaigners to leased lines experts.

Dr Charles Trotman, head of rural business development at the Country Land and Business Association, chaired the inaugural meeting.

He explained the main objective of the FTFC: "The government's universal service commitment to provide broadband speeds of two megabits per second for all by 2012 will be hard to achieve.

"This campaign calls for faster action on the progress already made."
