» Leased lines can boost online economy

Report considers broadband's impact on e-commerce
Increased leased line uptake could provide a major boost to e-commerce sites across the UK, a report from an influential trade body suggests.
A new research project from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising concluded that more high-speed internet connections would help grow the British economy by £1.4 billion.
That's partly because consumers with fast broadband lines were found to be 36.9 per cent more likely to purchase goods online.
And with a separate report showing that one in four employees go online shopping in their lunch hour, it means that growth in corporate leased lines could have huge knock-on benefits for online retailers.
Leased lines offer substantially quicker download and upload speeds than traditional internet connections, meaning consumers can quickly access product pages and send payment details.
Managed Comms is a leading provider of leased lines to businesses across the UK.
One of Managed Comms' unique selling points is price with minimal installation fees and substantially lower rental costs than traditional BT solutions.
Indeed, our leased lines can work out as much as 50 per cent cheaper per year.
But while price is obviously key, it is important to point out that the actual service offered by Managed Comms is never less than excellent.
We can get a new leased line up and running in 15 days, and our 99.9 per cent service level agreement means you can have absolute confidence in your broadband solution after installation.
It is this winning combination of reduced costs and premium performance that has seen Managed Comms increase leased line sales by 50 per cent in the last month alone.
