Leased lines tipped to solve broadband network concerns

Leased lines have been touted as the solution to satisfy the growing demand for higher internet speeds. A new study from a broadband research company, which surveyed customer opinion on the state of internet speeds in the UK, found over a third of respondents were concerned with the effect of increasing traffic on the current broadband network.

The research also discovered 38 per cent of those questioned thought that increasing traffic would be the biggest challenge to broadband networks. A further 19 per cent insisted broadband networks needed to be faster at transferring information.

A leased line service, available from Managed Comms, offers speeds up to 10Gbps. This state-of-the-art connection gives subscribers the opportunity to enjoy a dedicated transfer line, guaranteed at a 99.9 per cent SLA.

Indeed, many consumer concerns over the reliability of pre-existing broadband networks would be alleviated through a leased line connection. A Managed Comms leased line offers a 1:1 contention ratio, ensuring the reliability of data transfer.

A leased line connection is also able to combat the growing concern regarding internet security. Some 92 per cent of the study respondents felt that the safety of their personal data was essential. But a Managed Comms leased line is defended against personal information attacks and the connection is secure and reliable.

Finally, the consumer study highlights the growing proportion of businesses and individuals in the UK willing to use alternative methods, such as leased lines, in order to achieve better speeds and increase the reliability of their data connection.
