» Leased lines costs to benefit UK
Wednesday, April 14 2010Leased line costs could help 14 per cent of country
Leased lines would replace copper broadband
A leased line connection would guarantee high-speed internet to the 14 per cent of the UK population currently without access to fibre-optic network lines. A new report from communications regulator Ofcom has revealed consumers using the copper-based broadband service may spending too much for a comparatively low-standard of connection.
It has been suggested that those businesses occupying residences with antiquated broadband services investigate the opportunities offered by leased lines and ADSL bonding; both of which are provided by Managed Communications.
"Super-fast broadband is starting to be a reality in the UK, with very significant advances in recent months in the speeds some providers are offering," said Ed Richards, Ofcom's chief executive.
Indeed, the comparatively low leased line costs, when compared to the same service from other providers, have seen many businesses make the switch recently. Furthermore, a leased line cost from Managed Communications is 50 per cent less than other providers; substantially reduced because the service is charged by bandwidth, rather than distance.
A leased line provides super-fast online access which is guaranteed at 99.9 per cent SLA. The installation process is unobtrusive and the system can be operational in 15 days. For more information about what a leased line can offer your business, get in touch with one of our team members.
