Leased lines would aid small businesses

A study has found that a quarter of small businesses are unhappy with their current broadband connection

A leased line from Managed Communications would aid the quarter of UK small firms dissatisfied with their broadband service after a study revealed 24 per cent of companies are unhappy with their current broadband provider.

The new report from FSB-ICM discovered that many of the 1,300 businesses surveyed were troubled by the speed and reliability of their current connection. A number of these respondents criticised the lack of high-speed internet in rural areas.

A leased line from Managed Communications offers a high-speed connection which is backed by a 99.9 per cent service level agreement and it can guarantee super-fast transfer speeds between 2 and 10Mbps at most UK exchanges. The news that a leased line is considerably more reliable than broadband, even in rural areas, should be appealing to those small firms who cannot obtain a consistent connection away from urban zones.

John Wright, the national chairman for the Federation of Small Businesses, said that a reliable internet connection was essential for the survival of a company.

"The online world is crucial to small business development, especially as small firms look to grow and expand as the economy recovers. These figures show that the broadband service provided to small firms is letting them down."

A number of small businesses have greatly benefited from a Managed Communications leased line. The state-of-the-art connection ensures greater reliability and, unlike other providers, is cost-effective, being priced on bandwidth, rather than cost.
