There are 2 different business ADSL MAX products - ADSL MAX and ADSL MAX premium.
There are two main differences between the products.
1. Upload speed - business ADSL MAX supports upload speeds of up to 400Kbps whereas Business ADSL MAX premium offers upload speeds of up to 800Kbps.
2. Traffic prioritisation - business ADSL MAX premium traffic is prioritised within the core BT network.
What speed can the business ADSL MAX line support?
The speed that can be supported by business ADSL MAX is determined by something called 'line rate'.
Line rate can be measured in terms of the downstream speed supported from the BT exchange to the customer premises.
Business ADSL Max offers businesses the most bandwidth that can be reliably supported. Business ADSL MAX uses 'rate adaptive technology' ensuring that the maximum reliable DSL speed is achieved.

What is Rate Adaptive ADSL?
Rate adaptive technology allows the business ADSL MAX service to continually adjust to allow for optimal performance levels. The speed or line rate is adjusted to offer the fastest speed whilst maintaining an always on reliability level. The line rate achieved may not be the fastest theoretical downstream rate but it will be the fastest reliable downstream rate.
The rate adaption process occurs whenever a router is rebooted or there is a significant change in external conditions.
